While I am on the subject of making software recommendations, I thought I would throw this one out there too. I have been using a program called Remember the Milk for about two months now and it is great.
By it’s self, Remember the Milk is unamazing. RTM is basically a to do list that you can create and manage online. If all you want is a to do list, then there are many different places to find those. However, if you want something a little more powerful, check out RTM. If you currently use Gmail and Google Calendar, RTM integrates easily with these two services to keep you on task. RTM has created a plugin for Firefox that displays your to do list beside your email.
It gets better: You can add tasks from an open email. The RTM plugin for Firefox creates a new option in Gmail’s menu. From an open email, you can select “Create Task” and RTM will automatically add a new task to your list and link it to the email that you created it from.
I have tried dozens of ways to keep myself organized, all have failed, some have failed horribly. I have been using RTM for a few months now and there are many things that I know I would have overlooked or forgotten to follow up on if not for this program.
