It looks like our adventure in DC is coming to a close. As you might know, I moved to the DC area after grad school and Heather joined me the next fall after we were married. We have really enjoyed DC in the last years, finding new friends, new jobs, and embarking on our life together. So it is with a little sadness, but also great joy, that we have decided to move back to South Carolina. Heather has accepted the position of Associate Pastor at Sea Island Presbyterian Church in Beaufort, South Carolina.
The folks at SIPC are amazing and we both look forward to the many opportunities, both at Sea Island and in the Beaufort community. We have found a great little house to rent for the time being, but look forward to finding a house of our own. This is a huge change from our lives in DC where home ownership was going to be out of the question for some time. We are leaving DC on Saturday the 27th of September and Heather will start at SIPC on the first of October.
I am also very excited to say that I will keep my job with LexisNexis. We are working out the details, but my LexisNexis is going to allow me to become a home-based employee. None of my duties or responsibilites will change, I will just be responsible from Beaufort, not Bethesda.
I’ll try to keep everyone updated here, but can’t promise a lot in the next month, as we have quite a lot of work to do in the next four weeks.
