Couldn’t leave this one alone:
Apparently taking cues from the Jasper County Council, Senator Robert Ford, has proposed a bill that would make the use of profanity a felony.
So, this guy is a joke. I checked his record on the SC State House and it seems that everyone thinks he is a joke. In the 116th session of the House, he went 0-40 on general bills he authored. In the 117th session, he did slightly worse, at 0-56. This session Ford’s ambition is showing, with the good Senator going 0-61. The triumph of hope over experience.
This reminds me of the joke about the two guys that bought a half a truck load of watermelons for $1 each. The drove down the road a bit and set up shop, selling the melons for $1 each. After they sold out, they tallied their profit and realized they broke even. “You idiot,” the first one exclaimed, “This wouldn’t have happened if we would have bought the entire truckload.”
