A few days ago, I started working on a tutorial for basic WordPress users. After guiding a few friends through the process of installing and configuring WP, I started writing it all down so I could save myself a bit of time helping someone in the future.
Lo and behold, today Gina Trapani published this amazing introduction to WordPress customization. Hard to compete with her. Plus, her post is much better looking than the one I was working on. So, I’ll just recommend this one and save us both some time.

Nick La has also a few great posts on how to build custom Wordpress themes. I heavily relied on his tutorial to build my own blog.
