Heather’s cousins Ralph and Candy came to Beaufort this weekend to visit. We took his boat out on Tuesday and noticed this house for sale. Heather checked with some folks in Beaufort about the history. Turns out it’s the old Pleasant Point plantation house. Not much of a plantation, don’t think they raised crops, more of a name than a function. I guessed the thing was built in the 20′s and I was right. For such a large house, it’s only got 3-4 bedrooms, more of a party and entertaining sort of operation. No idea what they’re asking, but I think it’s a bit out of Heather and my price range…

It does look nice but I don’t like the idea of having a pool inside. Sure it can be fun on the winters when there are snow outside, but the rest of the year? No, I would rather have my pool outside and sit in the tub during the winter.
The best thing would of course be if you could remove the ceiling when it’s not winter, but I guess that would cost much more.
