I have two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in History from The Citadel in 2002 and a Master of Arts in History from Clemson University in 2005. My goal is to eventually complete degrees from all public colleges in South Carolina…

At The Citadel, I double majored: History and Shining Shoes. I was heavily involved in our class government, serving as the secretary my junior year and the treasurer my senior year. I was also the Vice-Chairman of the Honor Committee, Opinion Editor of The Brigadier, President of the Inn of Court, and member of the Century Club.

At Clemson, I focused on academics a little more, finishing with a 3.75GPA. My thesis, War Classes: Social and Institutional Change at Clemson College and The Citadel, 1937–1947, was accepted and I graduated in May 2005. At Clemson, I also served as a representative to the Dean’s Council of Students.
