TheCitadelStore.com

TheCitadelStore.com was the first serious site that I designed.  As I mentioned earlier, we created the business in the fall of 2006 and it took us quite a while to get all the agreements and suppliers lined up for our new venture.  We proudly launched TheCitadelStore.com on 1 July 2007.  The first version of the site was very functional, but not terribly attractive.  The interface was much neater than any other competitor but still left something to be desired.  Still, we didn’t care much, after all, we were in business.

The current version of the page was updated in July 2008.  We transitioned to a new open-source e-commerce package and have been tweeking the content to receive better natural rankings from Google.  In addition to the natural search results, we use Google AdWords to drive targeted traffic to our site.
